When I was a child my family always made the most amazing iced coffee that we drank in the summer. We had it topped with ice cream and it tasted amazing. Mum had a secret ingredient and it tasted wonderful, everyone who came to our house loved it. The secret ingredient? Camp coffee – that gave it its distinctive rich, chicory flavor that you just can’t get anywhere else.

When I got older and began frequenting coffee shop that opened in our town, one wonderful day I noticed they had iced coffee on the menu. I have never been so disappointed in my life, it just appeared to be cold coffee poured over ice.
